Carolyn Peavy Downs, age 75, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Lake Placid, Florida. She was born July 16, 1948 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the late Henry Jackson and Carolyn Sue (Coslett) Peavy, Jr. She had been a resident of Highlands County since 1970 coming from Ft. Lauderdale. She was a NASCAR fan with Jimmy Johnson being her favorite. She also loved gardening and her roses. Carolyn is survived by her Husband – Larson E. Downs, Jr. of Lake Placid, FL; Daughter – Hollie Downs of Sebring, FL; Sons – Dustin Downs (Jessica) of Sebring, FL; Dillon Downs of St. Cloud, FL; Brother – Richard Peavy (Donna) of Avon Park, FL and nine Grandchildren.
