Caroline Virginia Patterson

Caroline Virginia Patterson, 45, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.  She was born on July 15, 1974 in Poughkeepsie, New York, the daughter of Charles and Carolyn Patterson.

Caroline was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and friend.  She was a gentle soul who loved animals, especially her dog, Zeus, and cats, Sweet Pea and Gus.  They were her four-legged children, spoiled beyond measure.

Caroline worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, gardening, bird watching, taking long walks with her pets—and always with a child-like wonder—couldn’t wait for her birthday, Christmas, and Easter holidays.  She loved praise and worship music, and if you were lucky, might catch her unabashedly singing along.  Caroline never met a stranger.  She would stike up a conversation with anyone who would lend an ear.

Caroline is preceded in death by her father, Charles Patterson, grandparents, Jerry and Edna Masters, and sister Susan. Caroline is survived by her mother, Carolyn Patterson, sisters Kathryn, Christine, and Laura, and brothers Jonathan, David, Thomas, and Charles, Jr., her godparents, Margaret Diehl and Jerry Masters, Jr., her best friend, Heather Machia, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.  May her sweet spirit know true peace and joy in heaven.  May all who knew her hold her in their hearts, celebrate her memory, and honor her by always being kind to family, friends, and strangers alike.

A graveside celebration of life and interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid, FL at the convenience of the family, and officiated by Reverend Susan Rhodes.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Caroline’s honor to the Humane Society in your local area, or to the Heartland Cat Rescue & Adoption Society, Inc., 2109 Flower Terrace, Sebring FL 33875.
