Carole B. Winters, 81, of Sebring, FL passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 in Jupiter, FL.  She is the daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Thomas) Bates of Columbia, TN.  Carole leaves behind her husband; Neal Winters of Sebring and two sons; Rick Powell (Lisa) of Cumming, GA and Kevin Powell (Becci) of Middleburg, FL.  She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.  She is predeceased by her 2 ^nd husband; George Gardler and her sister; Jean Wrenn.  Carole retired from Automatic Data Processing in Miami, FL and from Sunshine Staffing in Sebring, FL.  She was a member of the Sun N Lake Country Club, enjoyed the water, she had her private pilot’s license, a member of the Nine Hole Ladies Golf Assoc. and the Nippin-Knitters.  Carole moved here in 1995 from Fort Lauderdale and was a member of the St John UMC of Sebring.  A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.  Memorial Contributions can be made directly to Elaine’s Christmas Kids Ministry Union Church, 106 North Butler Avenue, Avon Park, FL 33825.
