Carol F. Nickerson Wheeler

Carol F. Nickerson Wheeler died March 9, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in 1927 to Elwyn and Eva Shannon Nickerson. Carol was a graduate of Chautauqua High School in 1946. She was married in October 1948 to Charles H. Wheeler of Chautauqua, NY who preceded her in death September 2011. Together they operated the Chautauqua Dinor from 1950 to 1975.  She is survived by four children, Woodrow and (Mary White) Wheeler of Westfield, NY; Ted and (Carol) Wheeler of Sebring, FL; Allan and (Carolyn) Wheeler of Walkersville, MD; DeaAnna Wheeler of Chautauqua, NY. Also survived by six grandchildren, Dan Wheeler; Wendy Colburn; Tod Wheeler; Teresa Wheeler; Alena Wheeler and Jeff D. Ireland, also three great-grandchildren, one brother, Royal Nickerson of Clymer, NY. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Luciele Giltinan of Jamestown, NY and Lois Parker of Wauchula, FL, six brothers, Earl Nickerson of Wauchula, FL; Elton, Percy and Lee Nickerson all of Mayville, NY, Ernest Nickerson of Dewittville, NY and Edward Nickerson of Arcade, NY.  The family expresses great appreciation to Kenilworth Care and Vitas Hospice for their excellent care. Following cremation a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
