CARMINE GUERRIERI Carmine Guerrieri, age 84, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2013. He was born on July 30, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Antoinette (Perritti) Guerrieri. Mr. Guerrieri graduated from Automotive High School in 1943 and worked at the New York City Maintenance Traffic Department for 27 years. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Old Forge, PA, served in the U.S. Air Force at Berlin Air Lift and the Korean War, member of the V.F.W., and the American Legion, enjoyed his retirement home in Tanglewood, Sebring, FL, where he has been a resident since 2001, coming from Hollywood, FL. He loved to dance, play cards, and attend all the social functions with the Singles Group. He was a gracious, outstanding gentleman loved by all and was even considered the "Mayor of his Neighborhood." He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his Son and Daughter-in-law - George and Mercedes Guerrieri and of Long Island, NY and a Granddaughter - Bethany Guerrieri of Long Island, NY. He was preceded in death by his loving Wife - Mildred Alice Shubelko Guerrieri of 50 years, a beloved Daughter - Antoinette Julia Guerrieri, Parents, and two Brothers. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Chaplain Cecil Hess officiating. A visitation will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Old Forge, PA.
