Wesley Chapel

Carmen Elaine Norman, age 73, of Wesley Chapel, FL, was called home on Sunday, June 16, 2024 by her loving God, escorted by her family and greeted at the gates of heaven by her husband, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.  She was born January 5, 1951 in Minneapolis, MN to William E. and Carmen Delores (Penado) Wilmoth.  Carmen was raised in the Canal Zone of Panama with her eight siblings and graduated from Balboa High School. As a devoted wife, she traveled with her husband (Bill) during his Marine Corps enlistment before settling in Florida to raise their girls. She was in love with her family, cherishing each and every one with immense joy. Her love for them could be felt in every retelling of childhood adventures with her sisters and brothers as well as her favorite stories of nieces and nephews as children. As a Nana, she took every opportunity to love, play and teach her adored grandchildren and great grandbabies. She seized every opportunity to share her love through stories, hugs, kisses and home cooking. Culinary was a lifelong passion cultivated through hours in the kitchen with her father as a young girl. She had a long career as a Chef, devoted to bringing the joy of food to customers, community seniors and her family. While she worked hard to serve others through her kitchens, she equally always made time to indulge in her other passions. Carmen spent countless hours teaching country line dancing all over central Florida, modeling clothing for Coyote Western Wear and spending time on beaches, water parks and at backyard family BBQs. Carmen had a benevolent heart and never lacked in giving of her creativity, love and uplifting spirit to any and all who needed it. She was a lover of all animals and deeply cherished her puppy pack which included Baby, Sparky, Snowball and Minnie. She is survived by her Daughters – Bonnie May Norman (Brittany) of Minneola, FL; Carmen Teets (William) of Wesley Chapel, FL; Grandchildren – Amanda Teets (Justin), Dylan Teets (Kristen), Emily, Brady and Dawson; and Great Grandchildren – Harper Belle and Wallen Hayes.  Sister – Millie Sanders (Robert) of Sebring, FL; Brothers – Billy Wilmoth (Mary) Pittsburgh, PA; Jimbeau Wilmoth of Gainesville, FL; Jesse Lee Wilmoth (Paula) of Lexington, KY; She was preceded by her Parents; Sisters – Judy Sheppard; Mary Million; Brothers – Roy Wilmoth and Henry Wilmoth.
