Our beloved mother and grandmother, Carmen Gladys Lopez passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She had just celebrated her 89th birthday.
Carmen Gladys was born in Jayuya,Puerto Rico on January 22,1937. She emigrated to New York in the 1950s and married the love of her life Concepción Lopez. Together they raised 4 daughters, 1 son and 1 granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Conchito, her daughters Lillian, Miriam, Evelyn and Arleen, as well as her son Melvin and granddaughter Liza whom she raised. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She will live forever in our hearts.
