Carl H. Hill

Carl H. Hill, age 89, of Sebring, FL, formerly of Horseheads, NY, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2013, at Good Shepherd Hospice House. He was born on April 21, 1923, to the late Benjamin and Olive VanGorder Hill in Big Flats, NY. He had been a resident of Sebring since 1996 and attended Whispering Pines Baptist Church. He retired in 1985 as General Manager for Beacon Milling, Co., Horseheads. He was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, longtime Kiwanian and on the Chemung County Fair Board. Carl loved his family, all sports, and making people laugh. He is predeceased by his daughter, Diane Chapin, great grandson Dylan, and 7 brothers. He is survived by wife Isabel Voight Hill of 66 years, daughters Charla Colburn of West Palm Beach, FL, and Connie (John) Kaiser of St. Charles, MO, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. A memorial service with Pastor Steve Trinkle officiating will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.
