Carl Richard Baisden, age 83, of Sebring, Florida, passed away on January 17, 2025. He was born on July 2, 1941, in Lundale, West Virginia, to the late Abraham and Ida Baisden.
Carl proudly served his country as a United States Marine from 1959 to 1963. After his military service, he worked as a diesel mechanic for UPS. In 1996, Carl moved to Sebring from Ohio, where he became an active and dedicated member of the local community. He was a longstanding member of the Egypt Shriners, Highlands Shrine Club, Masons Lodge 249, and Eastern Star Chapter 126.
Carl found joy in golfing with his friends and cherished the time spent in the company of those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Baisden; his children, Carl R. Baisden Jr.(Evelyn) of Athens, TN, and stepchildren Jay S. Baisden of Cummings (Jerri) of GA, and Andrea L. Sindle (Joe) of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy.
Carl's memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
A memorial service to celebrate Carl's life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 4001 Sebring Parkway, Sebring, FL. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Chaplain Kenneth Turner will officiate.
