Bryant Dale "Bud" Seymour

August 29, 1928 — February 18, 2017

Bryant Dale (Bud) Seymour (age 88) passed away Saturday February 18, 2017 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Chicago, Illinois August 29, 1928 to Russel and Martha (Bryant) Seymour.  He graduated from Grant High School in Fox Lake, Illinois and attended the University of Maryland.  Mr. Seymour moved to Sebring, Florida following his retirement as a sales executive and entrepreneur.   After 27 years of service, Bud retired from SCM Corporation, manufacturer of Smith Corona typewriters, as Vice President of Sales.   He lived in San Diego, California for 12 years and worked as a manufacturer’s sales representative for various office products companies and as the Western Regional Sales Manager for American Woodmark Corporation.   Bud served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda May (Spooner) Seymour and his son William Seymour, his parents, and eight brothers and sisters.  He is survived by this son Michael Seymour of Round Hill, Virginia, and four grandchildren:  David Seymour and Heather Seymour who reside in Texas, and Bryant Seymour and Amy Martin, who reside in Virginia. A gravesite memorial celebration will be held on April 8, 2017, 11:00 AM, at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 854 Memorial Drive, Avon Park, FL  Cremation Arrangements entrusted to: Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, FL  (863) 385-0125
