Bruce Rodger Arrowood

Bruce R. Arrowood, age 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 29, 2026. He passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.

Bruce was born August 21, 1939, in West Chester, PA, to Bruce and Julia (Goodwin) Arrowood. He was raised in a Christ-centered home in both Tunkhannock, PA, and Mehoopany, PA. He graduated from Tunkhannock High School in 1957. After high school, he volunteered in the United States Army, where he spent three years in Korea and Arizona as a communications technician.

After the Army, Bruce was recruited by the Pan Am Airlines Corporation to manage a communications site in Gila Bend, AZ. From there, Bruce moved back home to Pennsylvania and went to work for AT&T and Procter & Gamble in Mehoopany, PA.

In 1965, Bruce married Memory “Winnie” Arrowood, and in 1968, they opened and operated Bruce and Ed’s TV and ran it together until June 1987. Bruce also started and operated other businesses in the Tunkhannock area until his retirement in 1987.

Bruce was a member of Sebring Independent Baptist Church, the Gideons International, and a life member of the VFW and NRA.

Bruce gave his life to Jesus at an early age and was faithful to his Lord his entire life. He was involved in many roles at church, as well as missions in Peru and Israel.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Memory “Winnie” Arrowood of Sebring, FL; his sons, Earl (Teresa) Arrowood of Milton, WI, and Bruce (Kathy) Arrowood of Clarks Summit, PA; his sister, Marilyn Robinson; brothers, Larry and Michael Arrowood; and his grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bruce was preceded in death by his infant brother, Lewis, and his parents, Bruce and Julia Arrowood.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Sebring, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Sebring Independent Baptist Church.
