Bonnie F. Houpe, age 82, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025 in Wauchula, Florida. She was born February 7, 1943 in Massachusetts to Frederick and Marjorie (Van Bramer) Nagelschmidt. She worked as a parts secretary for Jim Blackman Ford, Wells Motors, and Bill Owens Auto to name a few. She was a member of Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church and has been a resident of Avon Park, Florida since 1956, coming from Massachusetts. Bonnie is survived by her Daughters – Teresa Crawford (Vent); Tammy Liskey; Step-son – David Houpe; Sister – Peggy McLeod; three Grandchildren – Kaylyn, McKenzie, Shane; four Great Grandchildren – Crawford, Wynley Kate, Axel and Amelia. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband – James M. Houpe; Son – Jerry McKenzie; Brother – Jerry Traverse; and Sister – Barbara Batts. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park with interment following at Bougainvillea Cemetery.
