Bobbie Jean Stone

Bobbie Jean Stone, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in Sebring, Florida. She was born to Chalmer and Clara Lee Stone in Green Forest, Arkansas and grew up with a sister and brother. She was saved through a Bible Club and gave her life for service to the Lord at a summer camp. She went to college at Biola and graduated in 1955. She worked for several years with Mid American Mission in youth work and then later held various positions at several Bible colleges. Les Unruh was instrumental in getting Bobbie to move to the SIM Headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina where she spent the next twelve years working in several different departments. In her own words, Bobbie wrote that during the forty years she worked in various Christian ministries, "God always provided with each move." She retired and came to the SIM Retirement Village in 1998. She is survived by a sister, Linda Stone, and a brother, Keith Stone, both from Green Forest, Arkansas, as well as a nephew, Brandon Stone. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the SIM Chapel in Sebring, Florida.
