Bob Landis

BOB LANDIS Bob Landis, 90, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Sebring. He was born July 30, 1921, to Paul E. and Cecil E. (Imler) Landis in Marion, Indiana and had been a resident of Sebring since 1986, coming from Marion. He was a Project Engineer for an automobile manufacturer and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion, IN and an Associate Member of First United Methodist Church of Sebring; a life member of the Order of the Elks; member of American Legion and Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Landis of Sebring; son, Richard (Sharon) Landis, Canal Winchester, OH; daughter, Carole (Roger) Cardwell, Avon Park, FL and Marion, IN; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Landis and sister, Marcella Mayordomo. Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at The Palms of Sebring, with Rev. A.C. Bryant, Rev. Cecil Hess and Rev. Jim Lighty officiating.
