Billy Joe Hammonds

My name is Billy Joe Hammonds the 3rd. I was born September 29, 1992. I served in the Army. I love to make people laugh. I’m a father, a brother, a son and a friend. I love to fish, hunt, and laugh and take things apart to put them back together.  I love my sisters, my friends and my family and I was just like my dad.  I love to help others in any way I can no matter the cost. I’m an excellent swimmer and I saved the lives of two people I cared about. On my third attempt…we didn’t make it. I drowned. God bless everyone who has been affected by my absence. I couldn’t sit back and watch my friends drown that’s who I am…or rather who I was. You can’t see me…but you can feel me, I love you all! Live a hero die a hero. Survivors include his father, Billy Joe Hammonds, Jr. and his mother, Barbara Huckabee, son, Greyson Hammonds, sisters, Deborah Smith Coy (Tony); Tiffany Hammonds; Kacie Hammonds. He was preceded in death by his brother Dustin Huckabee.  There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday, April 23, 2016, 2:00 pm, at Ministry Center, 8475 Sparta Road, Sebring, FL.
