Betty Jane Wescott

Betty Jane Wescott, age 92, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Pennsylvania on September 20, 1924. She worked for a textile factory for many years. Betty was a very good seamstress and artistic and crafty running a ceramic shop out of her home. She enjoyed traveling and traveled all over the world. Betty was loved by all who knew her and she dearly loved them especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter: Darlene Dee Ristum ; grandchildren: Kimberly Harned, Kelly (Dan)Mellon/Tino, Scott (Alice) Mellon, Michael Wescott, Michele Wescott, Melissa Wiswiowski, Marc (Chelle) Wescott, Craig Wescott, Wendy Baxter, Eric Rasmussen; great-grandchildren: Shelby, Sean, Amber, Colt, Hailey, Corey, Blake, Audrey, Andie, two great-great grandchildren: Alycia and Arianna. Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Bernard Clare Wescott; children: Nancy Mae Mellon, Lloyd Arnold (Sandy) Wescott, David Lee (Trudy) Wescott; granddaughter: Laurie Sue Mellon; son-in-law: Jim Ristum. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, February 18, 2017, 11:00 AM, at First United Methodist Church in Sebring with Pastor David Springer officiating. There will be a dinner served after the service at Spring Lake Baptist Church in Sebring. Services in Pennsylvania will be at a later date.
