Betty Jane Thomas

Betty Jane Thomas, age 65, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Tampa, Florida. She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on August 27, 1947 to Evan R. and LaRue (Hunter) Thomas. She was the Director of Finance for The Palms of Sebring for 10 years; former co-owner of the Hair Gallery; and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sebring. She loved her family and friends. She is survived by her Mother, LaRue Thomas of Sebring; Sisters, Shirley (Rick) Demeri, of Sebring and Barbara (Doug) Cook of Pompton Plains, New Jersey; nephews, Robert Cook, David Cook, and Eric Demeri; Grand Nephews, Abram Cook and Jack Cook; Grand Nieces, Savannah Demeri and Paisley Demeri. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Thomas Demeri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Stephenson-Nelson Chapel, with Chaplain Cecil Hess officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before service time beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow service in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in her memory to your favorite charity.
