Betty Leiendecker Schaer

Betty Schaer, age 97, passed away on Friday December 2, 2022 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on June 6, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Hermine (Ludwig) Leiendecker. Betty worked as a banker in Ohio. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed talking to others about her God, Jehovah. Betty has been a resident of Sebring since 1985, having moved here from Ohio. She enjoyed needlework, cooking, playing cards and entertaining. She is survived by her loving step-children – Janet and Mike Johnson and Evelyn Carey. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren – Chris Johnson and Sandy Fisackerly and 2 great-grandchildren – Evan and Emma Fisackerly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Schaer, her parents, a son Terry K. McAfee and a stepson Bruce Schaer.  She is survived by a son Patrick McAfee.
