Betty Ann Proctor

Betty Ann Proctor, age 87, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025.  She was born December 6, 1937 in Tifton, Georgia to Homer Lee and Lela (Fountain) Johnson.  Betty was a Homemaker, member of the Placid Temple Church of God, and has been a resident of Lake Placid, Florida since 1971, coming from DeSoto County.

She is survived by her Son – William “Randy” Proctor (Deborah) of Ft. Myers, FL; Daughter – Sylvia Proctor of Lake Placid, FL; Sister – Patsy Strickland (David) of Arcadia, FL; Grandchildren – William Randall Proctor, Jr (Melissa); Adam Reed Proctor (Kristina); Great Grandchildren – Trey Proctor; Lane Proctor; Scarlett Proctor; Jude Proctor; and Kaitlyn Proctor.  Betty is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband – Grady William Proctor; Brothers – Lee T. Johnson; Raydene Johnson; and Sister – Bertha Hinson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM at the Placid Temple Church of God.  Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
