Betty K. Fulmer

Betty K. Fulmer, age 69, passed away on February 8, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on July 29, 1946 in Hershey, Pennsylvania to the late Lawrence Edward and Muriel Ellen (Shibles) Kegerreis.  She was a former teacher in Boyertown School District in Pennsylvania until her retirement. She continued her love for learning as an avid reader and enjoyed discussions in her book clubs. She is well known for her creative abilities as a photographer and artist. As a fabric artist she was drawn to color, texture and design, often using her photography as the subject for her quilt wall hangings. She was a Master Gardener and applied the same to her beautiful gardens. Betty enjoyed the comradery of friends and the challenge of Mah Jongg.

Survivors include her two sisters, Nancy K. Pontz – Millersville, PA and Brenda E. Heberling and husband David-Gettysburg, PA, seven nieces and nephews and twelve great-nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Fulmer.  There will be a memorial service on Saturday, February 13, 2016, 1:00 p.m.at Tanglewood Community Activity Center.  Pennsylvania services to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Betty K. Fulmer Scholarship Fund, for a student pursuing a career in education.
