Betty J Ford

Betty Jane Ford 85, passed away on January 23, 2018. She was born in Vandergrift, PA on February 13, 1932 to Samuel and Ruby Balisger Foster. She had been an Avon Park resident since 1995 coming from Rensselaer, IN. Betty was a member of the Ladies Golf Section at Pinecrest Golf Course, an auxiliary member at Florida Hospital, and an Elder and Clerk of Session in the First Presbyterian Church in Rensselaer, IN. She was also a board member of Fendig Children’s Summer Theater and enjoyed golfing, singing in the choir, crafts, sewing & cross-stitching. She loved playing bridge, but most of all Betty loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Paul Ford of Avon Park, her children Lacey Carl (Scott) of Illinois, Becky Primeau (Chuck) of Avon Park, FL Tom Ford (Cathy Grindstaff) of Indiana and six grandchildren: Betsy and Paul Primeau, Ben and Lauren Combs, and Naomi and Seth Carl. She was predeceased by her daughter Ann E. Combs (Kevin) and her parents. A memorial service will be held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church 4500 Sun N Lakes Blvd. Sebring, FL on Sunday January 28th at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
