Betty Joyce Estredge

Betty Estredge, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in Sebring, FL. She was born on January 1, 1947 in New Brocton, AL to Jimmy and Odessa (Osborn) Smith. Betty had been a resident of Avon Park since 1951 having come from Alabama. She was of the Christian faith, loved cooking, fishing, cleaning, birds, her family, and friends. Betty is survived by her mother: Odessa Osborn; children: Cindy Sedlar of Avon Park, Lori (Kyle) Todd of Avon Park, Jerrel Estredge of Avon Park, Shawn (Heather) Hodge of Avon Park, Roxanne (Jeff) Brewer of Selmer, TN; siblings: Sara Driggers of Avon Park, Louis Smith of Elba, AL, Jackie (Tracy) Smith of Alabama, Marie Smith of Bonifay, FL; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her father and brother: Bobby Gene Smith. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at the Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park.
