Betty Lanier Crews

Betty Lanier Crews, age 88, passed away on August 26, 2015 in Sebring, FL. She was born on July 30, 1927 in Wauchula, FL to the late Arch and Eula (Weed) Lanier. Betty had been a resident of Avon Park since 1955 having come from Wauchula. She worked as a teacher and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Avon Park. She is survived by her son: Dennis (Vinci Ann) Crews of Avon Park; sisters: Loca Spears of Sebring, FL; Shirley Knight of Wauchula, FL; Delores Guynn of Wimauma, FL; grandchildren: Adam (Allie), Amy (Jady), Michael (Debbie), Anthony (Gina), and eight great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Malcom, son: Keith, brother: Glenn, and sister: Margaret. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Avon Park. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at the New Hope Cemetery in Wauchula. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Avon Park at: 100 N.
