BETTY JEAN CHESTNUTT Betty Jean Chestnutt, age 77, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on April 3, 1933 in Ozark, Alabama. She worked as a Clerk for the City of Avon Park Water Department for over 20 years, loved gardening, a member of Florida Avenue Baptist Church, and a life long resident of Avon Park, Florida. She is survived by her Husband of 61 years James C. Chestnutt of Avon Park, FL; Daughter Gail Umperovitch (Donald) of Sebring, FL; Sons James W. Chestnutt (Sandra) of DeBary, FL, John W. Chestnutt (Evelyn) of DeLand, FL, and Martin G. Chestnutt of Florida; Brother William Carl DeLaney of Boiling Springs, SC; 11 Grandchildren Cortney Dixon, Casey Dixon, Kelli Chestnutt Gebbia (Mark), Matthew Swann, Pam Chestnutt, Bryan Chestnutt, Christen Chestnutt, Jamie Chestnutt Bixby (Zachary), Chelsey Chestnutt, Clint Chestnutt, and Martin G. Chestnutt, Jr.; 5 Great Grandchildren Riley Cole, Lisa, Jacob, Serenity, and Josh. Funeral Services will be held Wed., Sept. 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM at the Florida Avenue Baptist Church in Avon Park with Rev. John Girdley officiating.
