Betty M. Barney

Betty M. Barney, age 92, of Sebring, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012 in Lake Placid, FL. She was born on August 31, 1919 in Fayetteville, New York. She worked as a Supervisor in the Technological industry, of Presbyterian faith, loved to sing, an amazing seamstress, had a "sassy" personality along with being funny, making jokes, loved making people laugh, served in the U.S. Navy as member of W.A.V.E.S. during WW II, and has been a resident since 1986, coming from Boca Raton, FL. She is survived by her daughter - Sandra L. Barney of Sebring, FL and granddaughter - Selena Scola of San Francisco, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband - Howard W. Barney; Daughter - Gail Marie Barney; Brothers - Bobby Agan, and Robert L. Agan; and Sister - Ruth Flinn. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.
