Bertha L. Gurgacz

BERTHA L. GURGACZ Bertha L. Gurgacz, 88, of Sebring, FL, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in Lake Placid, FL. She was born August 21, 1922, to William and Edna (Criswell) Wischerman in Wheeling, West Virginia, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1978, coming from Hubbard, Ohio. She was a homemaker and of the Presbyterian faith. Mrs. Gurgacz is survived by her daughter, Karolyn Patzer of Eagan, Minnesota; sisters, Jane Gorgas; Kathryn Zack and Georgetta Presner, all of Pennsylvania; brother, Bob Wischerman, of Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike V. Gurgacz in 2006 and daughter, Patricia Knight in 2008. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8 at the Stephenson-Nelson Chapel, followed by entombment at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL.
