Bernice was born in Elba, Alabama to the late Cleveland and Ethel (Carpenter) Belcher. Bernice was a long time resident of Desoto City, Fl. She attended E.O. Douglas in Sebring, Fl. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church. She loved all of her nephews and nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bernice loved to cook, fish and travel. She is survived by her son-Felix L. Cooper (ex-wife Chery A. Owen Cooper) of Sebring, Fl.(deceased) David Matthew (wife Betty Matthew) and Randolph Cooper of Desoto City, Fl. Grandkids Emmanuel Scurry, Ashley J. Cooper, Tony L. Cooper, Sophia L. Cooper, Chonie Sharper, Shoncie Williams, God daughter Samantha Ellison and 12 great grandchildren. Siblings: Howard Belcher (Lillie), Dorothy Lloyd, Mable Henry (John), Jack Belcher; sister in law, Dorrie Belcher. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Annie Ruth, Earl, Verdell, Nell, Gene, Ford and Stewart. A host of cousins and friends and whom hold her dear to their hearts, Mom we will all miss you very very much. A visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 at Bountiful Blessing from 5-7 pm. Her service will take place Saturday, June 24 2017 at 11am at Bountiful Blessing. She will be interred at Bethel AME Church Cemetery, in Desoto City, Fl. after the service.
