Barry D. Reister

Barry D. Reister, age 81, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Sebring, Florida.  He was born on March 20, 1936 in Laconia, New Hampshire to the late Harry T. and Carrie (French) Reister.  Barry loved golf and watching sports.  He was a member of two weekly poker groups.  Many of Barry’s years were spent teaching physical education, coaching high school football, girls’ basketball and baseball in Pearl River, New York.  Survivors include his wife: Janet (Wheeler) Reister of Sebring, Florida; children: Tammy Reister of Chestnut Ridge, New York; Candace MacLean (Keith) of Amesbury, Massachusetts; Christopher Reister (Kirsten) of Wallkill, New York; grandchildren: Alexis Reister; Connor MacLean; Madison MacLean; great-grandchildren: Kiley Oliver; Kali Oliver.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.  A private family service will be held at a later date in New Hampshire.  Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870. www.chaptershealth.org
