Barney O. Baxley

Barney O. Baxley, 76, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Sebring. He was born March 30, 1936, to Charlie and Edna (Fuqua) Baxley in Barbour County, Alabama and had been a resident of Sebring since 1980, coming from Sembach, Germany. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as an Electronic Technician and after his retirement he worked for the Sun N Lake Improvement District. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Madeleine Baxley; son, Daniel of France; sisters, Vandeen (Newton) Campbell of Mobile, Alabama and Ramona (Sonny) Richards of Eufaula, Alabama. Memorial Services, with Military Honors, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, with W. Mike Adams officiating. Donations may be made in his memory to Sun N Lake Improvement District, 5306 Sun N Lake Blvd., Sebring, FL 33872 for The Happy Tree (underprivileged children project).
