BARBARA LOUISE MARTIN Barbara Louise Martin, age 88, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in Sebring, FL. She was born on August 9, 1924 in Potsdam, New York to George Perry and Beatrice Mary (Smith) Marvin. She was a Homemaker most of her life, while enjoying fishing and making crafts which she shared with her family and also a member of the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, FL. She moved to Florida with her Husband, Donald, in 1977, living in various places in the Highlands County area. After her husband's retirement in 1988, they spent most of their time RVing, until settling in Avon Park, FL in 1995. During their 64 years of marriage, they visited every state in the Union, except Alaska and Hawaii, as well as portions of Canada. Mrs. Martin is survived by her Daughter - Ann Reeves (Joseph) of West Chazy, NY; Son - Alan Martin of Franklin, GA; Sister - Cora Henck (Roy) of Sebring, FL; Brothers - Robert Marvin of Sebring, FL; Leonard Marvin of Campbellsville, KY; Henry Marvin of Cutler, IN; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; and 5 Great Great Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by her Husband- Donald Martin; Sister - Lois Marvin Martin; and Brother - George Marvin. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Nicholas McLoughlin officiating with interment following in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.
