Austin Titus Bushaw Jr.

Austin Titus Bushaw Jr, 79 of Avon Park, Florida went home to the Lord on July 26, 2018. He was born in Springfield, Vermont on November 12, 1938 to Austin Basil and Theodora Eleanor Duguette Bushaw. Austin proudly served his country by first enlisting in U.S. Army in September of 1956 and then was discharged in May of 1958 and enlisted in the United States Air force where he served until May 7, 1965. He then worked in the phosphate mines in the mid 1960’s and became a supervisor shortly thereafter. He retired and met the love of his life, Mary. Austin became a corrections officer in the 1990’s and retired from Hardee and Highlands County Corrections.

He is survived by his two brothers; Bill Bushaw and Fran Bushaw; four children, Faith Marie Baker, Cynthia Cherie McClenithan, Austin Titus and Gina Bushaw, and Kevin Edward Bushaw. Several grandchildren, including Ashleigh Bushaw Hoxit and many great grandchildren.

Austin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was very much a loved and respected man. A unique and wise man who freely shared his knowledge and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He is with his Lord and Savior and his beloved wife Mary.
