Arvel Wayne Stewart

Arvel Wayne Stewart passed away at the age of 78 on March 2, 2017 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on September 16, 1938 in Cullman, Alabama to his parents Lonnie Stewart and Tara Anderson Stewart. Arvel was a resident of Avon Park Florida since 1978 coming from Alabama and was member of the Whispering Pines Baptist Church. He was employed by the United States Government as a Range Control Officer, and he proudly served his country in the United Sates Army during the Vietnam Era. Arvel is survived by his wife Lilli of Avon Park and his children, Robert Stewart (Elizabeth) of St. Augustine, FL and Detlef Stewart (Angela) of Orlando, FL. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Tatiana, Tristani and Tai. Funeral service will be held at the Whispering Pines Baptist Church on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 9:30 AM. Interment will be at the Sarasota National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Veteran's Affairs.
