Arthur Louis Stenke

Arthur Louis Stenke 85, of Mt. Morris, MI. passed away on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 at The Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Fl. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially being the captain of his charter boat The "Shirley Ann". He was a tool & die maker by trade for G.M. . . . After retirement he became an accomplished wood carver. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with his wife and friends for several years. He was born on February 5th, 1928 in Farmington, Mi. to Edward and Bertha (Nabeack) Stenke. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Shirley Ann (Gray) Stenke; brother, Harold Stenke; sister, Mable Renz; 2 nephews, Larry Stenke and Donald Renz; and a grandson, Ryan Stenke. Survivors include: daughter's, Deanna Jane (Church) Dewolf of Hamburg, Mi. and Judy (Bill) McCormick of Frostproof, Fl.; sons, James (Diane) Stenke of Clarkson, Mi. and John Stenke (Gena) of Nashville, TN; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; 3 nieces and his beloved dog, Mia. A celebration of Arthur's life and burial will take place in Hamburg, Mi... Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870.
