Antonia E. Rosario

Antonia E. Rosario, age 90, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on April 12, 1926 in Viequez, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Velazquez and Maria Teresa Portella.  She moved to Sebring in 1990 from Puerto Rico and was a founding member of the “Church in Sebring”. She enjoyed Cooking and sewing, gardening and arts and craft.  Her family was very dear to her and she will be greatly missed by them all.  Survivors include her sons: Ozzie Rivera (Lillian) of VA, Jessie Rosario of VA; daughters: Elaine Garcia of VA, Elizabeth Rosario-Cardona (Jose) of Puerto Rico, Millie Howard of NY, Aliza Bowden (David) of GA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters: Maria, Elsa and Mima. Along with her parents, Antonia was preceded in death by her husband: Jose Rosario and two brothers.  There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, 4:00 pm, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring with Pedro Ponce officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm until time of service.  Her body will be interred on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, 9:00 am, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, Florida.
