Anna Abbate

Anna Abbate, age 87, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Stuart, FL, where she was close to her loving daughter Vincenza Abbate-Denino and her family at the time of her passing. She was born on February 23, 1934 in Tunisia to Vito and Vita (Carrubba) Torregiano. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, and has been a resident of Sebring since approximately 1990. Anna enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and she loved to sew, having a true talent for both cooking and sewing. Her loving daughter Vincenza Abbate-Denino, her husband Michael Denino, and loving son Vito Giuseppe Abbate and Fiance Ashley Westbrook survive her. Survived also by her siblings: Pina Gerbino; Maria Caputo, and Emilo Vito Torregiano and five grandchildren: Paul Michael Joseph Denino, Paul Antonio, Mikel Taylor, and Vito Raymond Abbate and Nick Johnston Abbate. Her loving husband Paolo Abbate, sons Vito and Antonio Abbate, and her brother Vincent Torregiano, and both her parents preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Funeral services will be at 11:30 am on Friday November 12, 2021 at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Jose officiating and Entombment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, FL.
