Ann S. Pondo

Ann Suzanna Pondo, age 86 passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 23, 1923 to Frank and Mary (Votta) Carioti. She was an Executive Secretary, she was a member of the Knights of Columbus Womens Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in South Amboy, New Jersey; she had been a resident of Avon Park since 1994 coming from Parlin, New Jersey. She is survived by her son-Gerard A. Pondo, Jr. (Glenda) of Avon Park, Florida and daughter-Joanne Daversa (Michael) of Wilton, Connecticut; sister-Gloria Seitz of Towson, Maryland; grandchildren-Ann Marie Pondo and Adam Daversa; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years-Gerard Anthony Pondo, Sr. Visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with wake service beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Father Gerald Grogan officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin, New Jersey.
