Ann F. Hargett

ANNA LEE FLEMING HARGETT Age 82, passed away in Lake Wales, Florida on Friday, April 22, 2011. She was born February 6, 1929 in Imboden, Virginia to the late Philip Grant & Gertrude Falin Fleming. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Hargett; Sisters Mildred Garrett Grimmett, Beatrice Fleming Hallman, Vivian Pachuta Brown; and a Nephew Charles Edward Garrett II. Ann is survived by her Sisters Myrtle Fleming Dalton of Beckley, WV; Mary Fleming Holdren (Arnold) of Tuscaloosa, AL; Barbara Fleming Holden (Reginald) of Tarboro, NC; Niece- Mary Kathryn Jensen (Richard) of Effie, MN; Nephews Philip Michael Pachuta of Beckley, WV; Pat Garrett (Debbie) of Shady Spring, WV; and other relatives and many friends. She was a graduate of Trap Hill High School, Bolt, WV, and Concord College (now Concord University), Athens, WV. She taught in the elementary public school systems in West Virginia and South Florida prior to retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Highlands County Educators Association and the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. Ann was active in her Genesis Pointe Community and the South Lake Wales Church of God. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the church, 210 Presidents Drive, Lake Wales, FL with Rev. Robert Beckler officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 11:00 AM Monday at the church. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 303 S. Memorial Drive, Avon Park, FL.
