Andrew Russell Scott

Andrew Russell Scott, age 86, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 in Avon Park, FL. He was born on October 21, 1930 in Winter Haven, FL to the late Cary Lee and Elsie Mae (Woodard) Scott. Andrew has been a lifelong resident of Central Florida. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Avon Park Nazarene Church. Andrew is survived by his wife: Barbara Jacqueline Yarbrough Scott of Avon Park, FL; daughter: Deborah Scott (Paul) Day of Honaker, VA; son: Darryl (Sabrina) Scott of Avon Park, FL; brothers: Curtis (Joyce) Scott of Winterville, GA; Jim (Judy) Scott of Lake Buffum, FL; Bill Scott of Grants, NM; Noel (Nancy) Scott of Avon Park, FL; David (Olivia) Scott of Avon Park, FL; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, son: Jeffery Scott; sisters: Myrtice George, Carolyn Dixon, Betty Mitchell, brothers: Henry Scott and Ed Scott. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at the Avon Park Nazarene Church. Burial will be held at Bougainvillea Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nazarene Church Building Fund at 707 W. Main St. Avon Park, FL 33825.
