Ana Maria Alvarez

Ana Maria Alvarez, age 84, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 in Sebring, Florida She was born March 10, 1938 in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Sotero Mendez and Ana Cortez Mendez. Ana was of Christian faith, and has been a resident of Sebring for 15 years. Ana enjoyed reading her Bible, and loved her family very much. She is survived by her loving husband, Jose R. Ruiz; children; Nelson Alvarez (Felicia Chavonne); Lucia Rodriguez (Gregorio);  Miriam Prestol; Annette Carter; Jose Ruiz Jr; sister, Monserrate Torres. Surviving are also sixteen grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm until service time at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, Florida with Pastor Leopoldo Abrego officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
