Amos Orville Keener III, age 73 passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 in Sebring, FL. Amos was born on June 30, 1951, in Columbus, OH, to proud parents Amos Keener, Sr. and Isabelle Matthews Keener. He has been a resident of Sebring since 2010 moving from Mount Gilead, OH.
Amos enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cherishing the moments shared with his loved ones. Amos is survived by his beloved wife, Erma Keener. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, survived by his children - Amos Keener IV, Michael James Keener, Alisa Stephens (Sean), Corey Keener, Joshua Chaney (Stephanie), Sarah Keener (Matt Dillon); his sister - Sue Kootz; and his adoring grandchildren - Katlyn, Sabrina, Cassedy, Abigail, Gage, Luke, Kaylee, Chuck, Ronan, Brandon, and Maverick. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steve Keener.
Amos was a dedicated and hardworking professional painter, finding joy in painting residential houses throughout his career. His work ethic was unmatched, and his commitment to his craft was evident in every stroke of the brush. Beyond his professional life, Amos was known for his charismatic personality and his ability to connect with others effortlessly. He was very sociable, always spreading positivity and happiness wherever he went.
Amos was a member of the Freemasons, holding the esteemed title of a 32rd Degree Mason. His involvement in the organization showcased his commitment to serving his community and upholding principles of brotherhood and solidarity.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Amos's life at a Memorial Service held at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home on Sebring Parkway in Sebring, FL, on June 11, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
