Amelia Tubbs

Amelia Tubbs, 89, of Sebring, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026. She was born on October 7, 1936, in Sycamore, Georgia, to the late James Gilbert and Ellen E. (Dowdy) Luke.

A longtime resident of Highlands County, Amy was a devoted member of Sebring Parkway Church of Christ. She was a creative and talented woman who found joy in crafting, party planning, and treasure hunting at garage sales. Known for her generous hospitality, Amy had a gift for making others feel welcome. Her artistic talents led her to begin working as a florist at a young age, a profession that reflected her love of beauty and creativity.

Above all, Amy treasured her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Raymond Leon Tubbs of Sebring, Florida; her children, Rhonda Eisenberg (Burt), Robin Ledbetter (Jeff) and Douglas Horton (Stephanie); her brother, Bill Luke; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating Amy’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Sebring Parkway Church of Christ.
