Alice "Tina" Martina Barber

Alice “Tina” Martina Barber, age 77, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Tampa, Florida. She was born November 2, 1948 in Frostproof, Florida to Whitey and Alice Marie (Douglas) Barber. Tina worked for United Telephone and then moved on to serve as the central records supervisor for the Highlands County Sheriff’s Department for 28 years, loved to read, and has been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, Florida. She was an avid Avon Park Red Devils fan, enjoyed volunteering with the Avon Park Booster’s Club, worked as a dispatcher at the 12 Hours of Sebring races, and also volunteered at several of the local schools. Tina is survived by her Daughter – Jackie Murphy (Bart) of Sebring, Florida; Son – Timothy Barber of Avon Park, Florida; Grandson – Tyler Murphy. She is preceded in death by her Parents; two Brothers and two Sisters. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM with family receiving friends beginning at 1:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park.
