Alice Louise Daugherty

Alice L. Daugherty, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025 in Sebring, Florida.  She was born Alice Louise Sanders on July 16, 1939 to the late E.R. Jack Sanders and Leona Ruth Van Cleave Sanders, in Crawfordsville, Indiana.  Alice was a store clerk and a bartender in Indiana for many years.  She is survived by her sons,  Donald (Pat) and Jeff (Vangie), grandchildren Joshua Miller and Kirsha Creamer, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and Tom her companion. She loved her family and friends  immensely.  She also leaves behind her sister, Romella Leak and sister-in-law, Sue Sanders.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Johnny Sanders, and her husband John Daugherty. She loved to play card games, dominoes but especially BINGO.
Alice was a member of the North Ft. Myers Church of the Nazarene before moving to Highlands County into an ALF.  A memorial is being planned in Indiana in mid October.
