Alice Aiken Brown

Alice Aiken Brown, age 87, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Tampa, Florida. She was born July 14, 1929 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania to the late James Moore and Velma (McCurdy) Aiken. Alice spent her career as an accountant for Sears Department Store, but her heart's work was her family especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and watching golf; and she was an avid reader. She was always a gracious hostess and a wonderful cook. Survivors include her children: Jean Brown-Sebring, FL, Janice Poppert-Royal Palm Beach, FL, James Brown (Cathy)-NJ, John Brown (Jackie)-NJ; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her husband: Paul Brown, one daughter: Judith Marcanti, one son: Jeffrey Brown and one brother: Jack Aiken.
