Alice P. Barrett

Alice P. Barrett, age 70, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Orlando, Florida. Mrs. Barrett was born in Richmond, Virginia to Allen and Lucille (Allport) Pleasants. Mrs. Barrett was an Insurance Auditor, member of Union Congregational Church and very active in her church, participating with many groups, member of the Orchid Society, she had been a resident of Avon Park since 1981 coming from Richmond, Virginia; her family was the most important thing in her life. She is survived by her daughters-Helena Roland (Steve) of Avon Park, Florida, Robin DeSimone (Joey) of Hampton, Virginia; son-Thomas Barrett (Misty) of Sebring, Florida; sister-Barbara Rollins (Bob) of Orlando, Florida; brother-in-law-John Barrett (Sharon) of Sebring, Florida; grandchildren-Christopher Faircloth, Clint Faircloth, Mitchell Roland, Jace Grimmett, Justin Barrett, Jordan Barrett, Arrington DeSimone and Marissa DeSimone; great grandchildren-Colt Faircloth, Wyatt Faircloth and Cael Grimmett. Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her husband-Tom Barrett; daughter-Page Martin and a son-David Martin. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Breylinger officiating.
