Alexander John Fellows

ALEX FELLOWS Alexander John Fellows, 91, of Sebring, Florida, passed away March 16, 2012, in Tampa, FL. He was born February 16, 1921, to Edward Fellows and Rachel Beetcroft in Melbourne, Australia, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2003. As a Missionary with SIM since late 1945, he served in the Sudan and then after marrying Theresia Doseck of the SIM in 1946, he served in Ethiopia until retirement in 1994. However, they continued serving short terms in Ethiopia and while in the Sebring area, worked with Prison Ministry, until his heart attack in 2008. His promotion to Glory leaves his wife, Theresia; four children, daughter Ruth Anne Fellows, Snellville, GA; sons, Tom Fellows, Ontario, Canada; Keith Fellows, Australia and Tim Fellows, Ethiopia; eight grandchildren and brother-in-law, Phil Daseck, St. Marys, OH. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen in 1963 and a son, Bruce in 2011. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:0 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2012, at the SIM Fellowship Hall in Sebring. A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2012, at the SIM Chapel in Sebring. Interment was at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Alexs memory to the continuation of his work in Ethiopia c/o SIM, 4114 Nigeria St., Sebring, FL 33875.
