Albert Lee Thomas, age 70 passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Zolfo Springs, Florida. He was born in Dade County, Florida to John L. and Mary Alice (Edwards) Thomas. He was a dairy farmer, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping and spending time with family and friends, he was of the Christian faith and had been a resident of Zolfo Springs, Florida since 1964 coming from Pompano, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 25 years-Cindy Thomas of Zolfo Springs, Florida; former wife of 20 years-Kay McGrath; children-Peggy Townsend (Eddie) of Avon Park, Florida, Donna Johnson of Avon Park, Florida, Mary Nealy (Vaden) of Avon Park, Florida, Ernie Young (Carolyn) of Tennessee, Mike McGrath (Tina) of Avon Park, Florida, Amanda McCullough (Joe) of Avon Park, Florida and Richard Thomas (Sam) of Lantana, Florida; daughter-in-law-Linda Young of Lake Placid, Florida; brothers-J.L. Thomas of Stuart, Florida, Butch Thomas (Ruth Ann) of Colorado, Bubba Thomas (Nancy) of Okeechobee, Florida, Bobby Thomas (Shirley) of Lake Placid, Florida; sister-Ida Mae Robinson of Stuart, Florida; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Thomas Bay Thomas, Timmy Thomas and Kenny Young, 2 grandsons, John Alan and Daniel Johnson and a sister, Nelma Foster. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida.
