Albert Frank Haladay, age 97, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Albert was born on November 18, 1928, in Catawissa, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Victoria (Welkom) Haladay. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his military service, Albert worked as an aircraft mechanic, a career he took great pride in. Albert had been a resident of Sebring, Florida for the past 25 years, having previously lived in Bonita Springs, Florida. In his free time, Albert was an avid gardener who especially enjoyed growing tropical fruit. He was well known for his cheerful habit of whistling, a simple joy that reflected his warm spirit. He is survived by his children and stepchildren, Albert Haladay Jr. William Haladay, Linda Seaman (Dan) George Rider (Stephanie) Pam Champion (Jim); 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane (George) Haladay, son David Haladay and a stepson Donld Rider. thirteen siblings. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, with Father Jose officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, where military honors will be rendered.
