Adam Peter Bischof, born on May 23, 1932, in Crivitz, Wisconsin, passed away on October 20, 2024, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 92. He was the beloved son of the late George and Theresa Bischof. Adam moved to Florida in 2019.
Adam served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, embodying a lifelong sense of dedication and resilience. Following his service, Adam embraced a simple, hardworking life, dedicating many years to farm work. Known for his unassuming nature and steadfast work ethic, he was always ready to lend a hand.
In his quiet moments, Adam found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an accomplished wood whittler, creating pieces that reflected his care and patience. He loved animals deeply, known especially for his daily ritual of feeding his cherished friends Sam the squirrel and Suzie the alligator. His kindness extended beyond the animals he fed, for Adam's heart was large, always open to those around him, from his close friends at Hope Haven to anyone in need of a warm smile.
Adam will be remembered by his friends at Hope Haven and his community in Sebring. He was a man of modest means but immense generosity, a fixer of things and a friend to many. Though he leaves no family to mourn his passing, his kindness and warmth touched lives. May he rest in peace.
