Life Legacy


Alfred Thomas Wells, age 66 passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Sebring, Florida. Mr. Wells was born in Avon Park, Florida to Willie Thomas and Mazie Pearl (Jones) Wells. He was a truck driver, of the Protestant faith, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, he was a recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart and was a Prisoner of War during the Vietnam War. Mr. Wells is survived by his wife of 12 years-Linda Wells of Sebring, Florida; daughter-Angel Wells of St. Port Lucie, Florida; sons-Edgar Futch of New York, Ricky Futch (Joleen) of Frostproof, Florida, Lewis Futch of Sebring, Florida and Darrel Jones (Regina) of Sebring, Florida; 7 brothers-Harold, Curtis, Lucky, Raymond, Aubrey, Dale and Howard and 2 sisters-Evon and Joan; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-Sierra Wells and a brother-Tommy Wells. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Eric Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
